 About the Instructor  Nicholas Carroll graduated valedictorian of Somerset High Schools class of 2004. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Seton Hill University in 2008 with a B.A. in Music with Piano as his major instrument. He graduated from the American School of Piano Tuning in 2008. He studied Music Education, and Piano Pedagogy/Performance extensively at Seton Hill. Nicholas has been teaching piano privately for years and is a renowned virtuoso pianist. He was awarded the prestigious Program in Music award from Seton Hill University in 2006 and is an Active Member of the Pennsylvania Music Teacher's Association (PMTA) and the Association of Lutheran Church Musicians (ALCM). Nicholas has performed at many locations but most notably at his Senior Piano Recital he achieved a "tour de force" performance of Dello Joio's 4th movement for piano (a recording of this performance is provided below). Above all accolades Nicholas is an avid piano lover and has been playing since the age of 6. Nicholas is also a composer of his own original piano works which he has performed at the Studio's annual recital. Nicholas is organist/choir director at Trinity Lutheran Church in Somerset. It has long been his dream to provide the Somerset area with a level of piano instruction not available in a "rural" area previously. |
